lady and the tramp brings love this valentines in a diamond edition blue-ray combo pack | giveaway

It’s my favorite Disney movie of all time!  And I’m so excited to tell you that Lady and the Tramp is being released on Diamond Edition today in a Blue-ray combo pack!  And if you haven’t seen – well you need to rush out and get it, especially with Valentines Day coming up, because it’s the most romantic love story of all time.

Lady and the Tramp has a very sweet spot in my heart. Not just because I love the movie, but because it reminds me of my very first Valentines Day date with my husband, 8 years ago. He took me to our favorite cafe – The Grateful Fed.  It was a sweet little restaurant with amazing food, and my hubby (then boyfriend) treated me to their Lady and the Tramp Spaghetti dinner for Two.

So there we were. I had never actually been on a real valentines day date.  So I had no idea what to expect.  I absolutely love pasta, spaghetti being my favorite, so I was looking forward to dinner.  My hubby gave me three roses.  Two blue and one green. He had them hand painted at a local florist in Kelowna where we were living at the time.  I was in awe because when I asked him why those colors?  He replied that it was because they were my favorite colors.

(Later) I’d discovered, my husband had written down my favorite colors in his book, along with what I liked to eat and my favorite wine, which he’d also purchased earlier and brought to the restaurant for the waitress to bring us because they didn’t carry it. Because of his brain injury, he wanted to make sure he got it right on this special occasion.

It was the best night of my life. We talked and kissed, listened to “That’s Amorie” and danced right there in the restarant and shared our pasta.  Then suddenly as the plate for two began to disappear, my husband took one end of a spaghetti noodle and put it in his mouth, urging me to take the other. I was embarrassed, but I did it.  We ate the strand until we kissed!  But what happened next, blew my mind completely.  The next thing I know, everyone is clapping. Shocked, I turned to look, only to see my husband rolling the last meatball across the plate toward me with his nose!

Tears filled my eyes as I looked at this guy with a big goofy grin on his face, not embarassed by the fact he had pasta sauce all over his nose and he reached for my hand.  I knew then and there – he was the one and I wanted to be with him forever.

Lady and the Tramp is a beautiful love story from Disney. A tale of two dogs from different sides of the track.  Lady is prim and proper and shy of the world and Tramp is carefree, a spirit that teaches Lady how to find herself.  Much like how my husband taught me.  It is definitely a story of love, romance, believing in the impossible and should be enjoyed by everyone!

Win it!
